Many years ago I knew a chap from the club who had a milk round. Every week he would make a present of half a dozen eggs from his cart to an elderly gentleman in the club who lived alone. One week he had sold all his eggs so had none left to give away. The said elderly gentleman, after fretting all evening, finally went up to him and said, "Where's me bleedin' eggs, then?"
Wish someone would give me some eggs. I was just fancying a frittata for my dinner and guess what - I have run out of eggs. So it's either a quick trip to Budgens or a frozen ready meal.
Yes it is a sort of omelette - it certainly needs eggs plus potatoes and anything else you want to put in it. Yummee. I'm off to Budgens can't resist the thought.
Hopkirk - Oh yes, I didn't think of that - but it doesn't take long in the microwave and I think the ready part of it means you don't have to prepare anything.
