Recurrent cold sores

I'm very prone to cold sores on my lips and I have had 3 in different places on my bottom lip for the last two weeks. They are driving me crazy. So itchy. Why is this happening. Don't normally get them so often. Is it a deficiency of a certain vitamin or something?

Once you've got the herpes simplex virus, it's with you for life. All that you can do is to try to avoid the known triggers:

You're also more likely to get cold sores if your general immunity level is low. That could come about, for example, from a deficiency of Vitamin D. (Well, that's what limited laboratory research suggests might be true:

More generally though, any poor diet is quite likely to lower your immunity levels.

there are a number of treatments that help minimise the severity of cold sores. but you must start them as soon as you feel that first tingle and not wait till the sores break out.

If you can find a horse, lift its tail and kiss its bottom.
It won't cure the cold sores, but it WILL stop you licking your lips.

Try boots coldsore machine! Kills it- or stops it even coming!!!

I wear a patch to bed to prevent spread..cream to keep it moist and the machine to kill it or as i said avoid completely! Well worth the money xxxxx
