ABerrant, aren't you the strange one? Never posted a question on here despite joining 4 years ago, dear? Sorry to disappoint you, dear, I must try checking those usernames but give me one good reason why you shouldn't be reported to the Ed? Making unfounded accusations like that, dear.
With working for the NHS we are offered them and expected (but not forced) to have them done. Some have had reactions, some not. I always get it done though. Im not gonna say ( Ive never had flu yet ) though, cos you always know what happens when you say things like that. lol :>)
Long answer imagine having the flu and being off work, then the kids get it and you have to take time off to look after them. Or worst case you all get it at the same time then youhave to look after them and feel like c***, so yes it is worth it.
I'm undecided every year and end up not having one.
How do you know the jab has really protected you? I had flu about 15 years ago...never had a jab since then, luckily never had the flu again either.
My surgery is having some sort of open flu jag session on Saturday the 6th October. I got my letter/invitation through and will go.
Flu is awful and can be deadly. I hate it when people refer to bad colds or virus infections as 'the flu'. I have had the flu once as an adult and it was horrendous.
And I am not a crinklie/crustie/wrinklie - I am 'only' 49.
