Was pottering about in the shed on Friday when i suddenly felt chilled, so I thought blow this go indoors. I sat down and started shivering violently Mrs Owd made a warm drink and wrapped a duvet round me, no change after 20 mins,I think you had better ring the doctor for advice, the doc rang back and said take his temp,38 , take it gain in 10 38.7 im on my says doc, takes temp when he arrives 40.4 rings christies and both decide its an ambulance all bells and whistles, wnen we reached christies delerium had set in , once I had calmed down a doctor removed my hickman line which they thought may causing infection, a young polish doctor came to see me and said ,you are very ill we need to fit a central line ahd get some anti biotics in you, it should take 20 mins it took 3 hrs with me on the ceilng for most of it.Still critical care but on the way slowly,The consultant has just been to see me and say the scan results are good but some radiotherapy needed when stronger followed by more chemo in 2013
Oh Owd, what a to do - glad they got you in so promptly, you know you in the best hands there and they will soon get this under control. Take care and hope they have Horlicks on that night trolley or I shall be round. ♥
Good God, what a horrible time you've been having! Sounds like you're still in hospital? I hope at least the shivers have gone now and that you're a bit more comfortable
systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) - the body can go into shock to some bacterial exposure etc and that sounds like what has happened....probably as a side-reaction to your radio......anyway the good news is that they are working on stabilising you and the scan results are good.
Hope you are home soon as hospitals are just sooooooooooooo boring
