Headwreck, a body is not 'someone' it is just a lump of decaying organic matter that has to be disposed of. The 'someone' is the living breathing sentient person, that ceases to exist at the moment of death.
Funerals are for the living , the dead can know nothing about it.
Funeral directors are the most money grabbing b@stards on Earth ! I know that they pay £35 to £40 for a coffin but sell it on for a minimum of £750, they make 100% profit on flowers as well , what you pay £100 for they buy in for £50. They take advantage of people when they are at the most vulnerable and use emotional blackmail to pressure them into spending more money. They deliberately 'forget' to mention the cheapest options unless they are forced to reveal them. I recently helped organize a funeral and asked 3 undertakers for a quote , they were not happy when I told them I had a cheaper quote and asked them to beat it, but they did and I got the funeral the family wanted £550 cheaper than the first quote. Plus they were happy to be paid when the estate was sorted out, the first lot wanted £1500 cash up front !.
