with pressies for the family and my cat trisha is determined to get inside at least one of them, it's like one big new adventure for her, it must be confusing being a cat and christmas, she's already destroyed the enemy that is the christmas tree and the garland across the fireplace surrendered 5 days ago.

If she got into the presents that would be a CAT-astrophe! ;)
LOL dotty I have a new kitten and she's destroyed the bottom of the tree, I've found a bauble in almost every room and wrapping with her around is impossible but she's given us so much joy it's worth it.
Just don't let her near the thin parcel ribbon or you could end up with a string of "beads" in her litter tray tomorrow!! Haha! ;)
mine are over-excited. one kept trashing paper as i tried to wrap the boys gf's pressies and another is sulking because there are bags under a table where she normally hides under/launches attacks from, and the youngest is a dab hand in stealing baubles to play with. every morning i come downstairs and find them all over the place! x
LOL erin I found the elastic from a pork joint in the litter tray the other week (came from my grown up cat I hasten to add)
At least your cat doesn't treat new things in the house in the same way that my all-time favourite moggy did. I paid a lot of money to have a new gas fire fitted. It worked once and then the cat peed on it; it's never worked since! Similarly I picked up a broadcast-quality reel-to-reel tape recorder (in poor condition) for £30 in a garage sale. I paid a specialist technician £100 to bring it back to its original, which (because of the need to source parts) took 6 months. It worked for just one day because . . . (well, you've guess it, haven't you?)

seems i'm getting off lightly! she's just gone mental cos i've (with malice aforethought) turned the tree lights to random flicker........it keeps her busy lol
my dad's cat (long gone now, but a black, evil little monster) used to dig his undies from the wash basket and pee on them. he always used to find them, even if mum put them in the washing machine cupboard (he learnt to open the door!). he also used to eat my mum's flowers in the windowsill if my dad didn't give her ham or cheese when he made his sandwiches in the morning x
Cats love crinkly things.
Stick some old paper streamers or shredded paper in a box and she'll be happy rolling about in them for ages (ages in cat years = 15 human minutes).
>>>a black, evil little monster

But they're the BEST cats, surely?

I had a right bonkers black cat in 1976, Timandamous, (Tim for short) he used to run with just 2 legs on his right hand side, the left never touched the ground. named him after a race horse i won on at hexham the same year.
Question Author
just realised i can name e very cat i ever had:
Jack and Jill (when I was 5)
Rackel
Spider, Tiger and Ghost (brothers and sister)
Brancker
Lenny
Fred
Timandamous
Louise (Lou Lou)
Rackel too
Brancker too
Tom
Trisha and Lizzie.
My friends cat has already unwrapped and eaten her Chocolate Ginger. Funny taste for a cat.
I've only had two cats.. We had Cuddles who was pure white.. She was the most perfect cat ever. We had to put her to sleep when I was 9. I still haven't forgiven my Mum for not telling me about it until it was too late :(

We got Sooty a few months after that and she is the weirdest cat ever. She is a grumpy, anti social house cat but I love her!
chris....he wasn't called lucifer for nothing! (or luscious for short - a ridiculous name to call in the back garden) - along with einstein (stupid cat) and tyson (wimpy cat). sooo embarrassing! x
