Any ideas (other than a pin) on how to relieve trapped wind?

I honestly feel like you could tie a string to my leg and fly me like a balloon.

ginger and lemon tea, when you get the chance go to the chemist and get some Windeze
think you need to address what's causing the wind - is it a sudden onset (in which case get some professional advice), do you always suffer from it, do you have dental problems. Trapped wind is often dietry and/or life style induce. Lying down rubbing stomach helps as do sipping anything with peppermint/camomile/mint teas etc - there are millions of things available to help. The cause is the cure.
The best thing to take are Rennies Deflatine - they cure it almost immediately. If you have tummy pain, lie flat and massage your tummy in a clockwise direction for a few minutes then put a hot water bottle on the painful part of your tum. Works every time for me..............
I usually resort to extra strong mints and undo anything that feels a bit tight. Warm water and bicarbonate of soda if you have any, and a few bends and stretches sometimes helps. I feel your pain, just stand downwind please. :o)
Some mild aerobics with the lovely AYG would give me relief, i think :0)

Whenever you are ready yogi. ;-)

Mr P has left the room in disgust. Makes a change to be on the other end of a hostile bottom in this house.

Hi 2sp,I can sympathise with you, here is a true story laugh if you may.I went for a colonoscopy(camera up the back area) if no-one is familiar with this procedure. They filled me full of air to open up the bowel, that was alright until they had finished,I was in excruciating pain with wind, the nurse said get on your hands and knees and rock backwards and forwards, well that was great until, what happened, yes the biggest explosion I had ever had, happened and right on the consultants face who was sitting behind me,embarrassed? I was mortified, wasn't sure how he felt,he did have a mop of curly hair when he started but I think he did not need any straightners after that.I still laugh about It to this day.
Fredkins, if he wasn't expecting that then he's in the wrong, er, job.
Home made soup....always clears me out....
Take up the Moslem prayer position. Arms outstretched, face down. Move bum up in the air and back down.
(This is an exercise move which used to be regularly done by a group I know, but there were so many embarrassments that they stopped doing it.)
i can only assume that mosques are well ventilated
