Hi there I feel that I have trapped wind I'm burping a lot and in pain when I burp I can't eat anything without getting pain. I've wrecked my digestive tract. tonight I had noodle soup and a natural yogurt and got pain straight after nothing is helping I've tried gaviscon windeze omeprazole paracetamol and peppermint capsules this is the worst indigestion ever. I am going to be really careful what I eat from now on its not worth this. Could a drink of fizzy diet juice help or any other suggestions I'm quite anxious I might try a valium after all the alimentary canal is all muscle and valium is a muscle relaxant

fizzy drink makes me burp more, not less
Try Buscopan. It is a muscle relaxant and can be bought over the counter. It has none of the other effects of valium.

So you seem to be suggesting exactly the WRONG thing to do!

Fizzy will most definitely not help in my opinion. I have a similar issue with indegestion and reflux and fizzy is the enemy for me.
Drink milk.

take up the mosque prayer position. It can (unfortunately) release trapped wind, as some people in exercise classes discover to their intense embarassment.
Possibly taking all these meds and not allowing them to do their job before trying the next thing could also play a part. I'm on omeprazole and you have to give it a chance to work, didn't solve my problem over night.
get rid of wind by cutting down on food that causes wind... sage advice from the NHS there, Chris!
if you've tried all of those tablets with no success, I'd go to the docs. And fizzy drinks will definitely make it worse!
Try Bisodol tablets, gordies.....and tell folk to stand well back if you know what I mean
I don't think you are helping yourself by taking all those different pills and potions. Try just fluids for about 24 hours. Give your body a rest. Then gradually introduce soups to start with .
I tried plenty of prescribed drugs for my reflux issues but Baclofen is my saviour, it's a muscle relaxant and it is really helping.
