Does a woman know if she is pregnant?

The day after we conceived - no sh*t - I woke up the next morning and though "Oh my God, I'm pregnant" (me and hubby had been trying anyway) but we had only been trying for 2.5 months. I just knew that I was with child. Call it women's instincts or whatever you like.

The Friday before my period was due on the Monday I bought a pregnancy test because I had a gut feeling. Then on Tuesday I did the test and bang, it was positive.

Anyone else know that they were pregnant before they even took a test or before their period was late?

My missus did, it was after a pizza at pizza hut and then a trip to a lovers lane viewpoint thing in the car.

After we did it we both thought it felt different that time than any other time, and she mentioned next day she felt that something had changed with her since that had happened, a few days later she was being sick every morning and soon found out she was pregnant.

It was a total accident it happened and certainly not planned (she was told by two independant doctors that she was unable to conceive and resigned herself to never having kids) and we had been having sex for months, but this one time we both felt it was different and she couldnt explain why but said she definately felt something had changed with her and that it felt a good thing, like the sex was meaningful for some reason rather than just a fantastic session!

With help from a doctor and a midwife we were able to nail down the date to that weekend we had the pizza and clearly remembered we hadnt had sex for a week before and 3 weeks after it(due to sickness) so it is nice to look back on and know what we did together to produce our lovely daughter we have (although we both wish it was more like a hotel in paris with rose petals on the bed, rather than a fiat uno passenger seat at 10pm in a viewpoint carpark!!)

Aaaaaa!

We were in Wembley on a weekend away going to see one of "The Kumars at No.42" being filmed - our lovely daughter (who'll be 3 in November) was conceived in the hotel room of the Premier Lodge in Wembley on 14th February 2002!
Mrs rampart knew each time (3). Woman's instinct, I guess.
I knew. Until the 'moment of clarity' I was NEVER having children, I didn't even like other people's particularly. Then one morning on my way to work I had a sudden thought of 'I'm pregnant'. Suddenly I was over the moon. My very new boyfriend didn't want to stick around and that was fine, I haven't seen him since I was 2 months pregnant. Even that didn't bother me.
Very strange if you ask me. How did I know if I had no intention of ever experiencing it?
I knew with both my children. The first one could have been passed off as fluke, because it happened as soon as we tried, but the second one, we tried for 3 months before I got pregnant, but I still knew when I was and when I wasn't.

Not me -- but my mom with me...she said they had literally just finished making love and she knew.....I believed her but all these other posts are really cementing it..

I had a feeling I was pregnant about 5 before my period due, but then I started to get cramps so dismissed my original feelings. I'm now nearly 20 weeks pregnant....joy!

Congratulations TIGGSTER!!!

Not me personally but I have heard several stories of women who knew they had conceived the minute it happened.
I knew both times as I started being really sick about a week or so before my period was due.
I had no clue until I did the test.

I knew about a week before my period was due as my boobs were really sore!

But saying that- my friend wasn't aware until the morning she went into labour on her bathroom floor! (scary!!)

My friend knew as soon as she was doing the washing up. The smell of washing up liquid made her nauseous with her previous two and so 10 years later she she was a little surprised. Their daughter is now 12 and too gorgeous to be legal, she's a lovely person and definately natures happiest accident.
I'm 16 weeks pregnant and didn't have a clue until the doctor congratulated me and reduced me to a sobbing wreck-it was unplanned! We are now both over the moon (me and my fella, not me and the doctor!!)x
