"my Gay Dad"...

Just having a nose on FB and someone I went to school with has posted pictures of her Dad's recent wedding day, where she was a bridesmaid.
I was flicking through them and thinking "there's lots of pictures of him and the best man". But.... it turns out that was the person he was MARRYING!!

I just don't get it.

I imagine when he got mArried 30 years ago being openly gay wasn't quite as accepted and the pressure to get married and raise a family could have been immense.

MrsC, that's my thoughts. Although I was absolutely gobsmacked looking at the pictures, I do kind of think 'ah well, let them get on with it'.
My main horror is that his own daughter was a bridesmaid!

Obviously I wouldn't want for anyone to be unhappy, or with the wrong person, but it's certainly not something I'd be 'ok' with, if it were my own Dad.

Whilst it may be at first unsettling, I admire you friend for not disowning her Dad, he obviously brought her up well and level headed.

Just looking through his wedding pictures (yes, I am that bored) and I just cannot see how he's managed to hide being gay for all those years. Well, unless he's just recently had some massive Gok Wan makeover!

Bleached blond hair, orange tan, white suits. Oh, and his Facebook 'likes' have all recently been changed to Take That, Olly Murs, Will Young, Peter Andre... lol
He's really going for it!
