As a young boy I always had a runny nose. SO when I went to bed I always held on to a hankie. Now I am 45 I still hold on to a hankie in bed if I don't I find it difficult to settle. Then if I awake during the night and the hankie is not in my hands I can't settle again untill I find it again, I even at times got up to get another one

However, since I gave up dairy, the runny nose has gone, and I am slightly less worried about not having one in bed. But I do like to keep one under the pillow for emergencies!!! (At least you don't suck your thumb like my 36 year old sister does..)
In my house all the teaspoons MUST face the same way in the cutlery drawer and the toilet seat lid will remain down at all times (unless we're using it obviously)
I can't settle at night until I've kissed my son (mother thing I guess) but even if I've kissed him, then gone to the toilet and then to bed I can't sleep until I've got up and gone and kissed him again!!
