Buy yourself a good selection of fruit. Not just a few apples and oranges, but some blueberries, a pineapple, some pears, mango chunks, bunch of grapes and anything else you like, but loads of it.
That way you always have something else to eat when you fancy a snack or a dessert. While you're there, by some Ryvita and rice cakes to replace the bread. Now you'll have made a start and you'll see a difference in no time. i have lost 3 stones this year and know exactly how you feel. I still have another 3 stones to go so come join us on the Onwards and Downwards thread where we are all doing our best to lose weight too. I didn't go to a slimming club but i started by cutting out cakes, biscuits, crisps and desserts. Went on to replace bread, pastry and cut out fats and finally switched to skimmed milk, 0% yoghurts, low fat salad dressings, and smaller portions. One step at a time is my advice.
