What Do You Think Of Men With Tattoo,s On Their Necks ?

i very stupidly got a 1"x1" tattoo on back of my neck behind the ear about 7 years ago, since then i have tried laser 4 times, plus i have had a tatooist inject a compound into it to try get it off. the laser has now left me with a 4" square white scar which has been there years now and is a sight, the skin colour will not grow back , ever !! im now left with a scaring plus the original tattoo is still there a little. i was at a tattooist yesterday and he suggested getting another more tastefull tattoo over it..i dont know, i am 46 years old, i fear i will regret it ...what do people think of tattoos on neck wether tastefull or not, do not want to look any more like a thug or a chav than what i allready look lol

hmmmm, ,ots of good answers there, seems to me most are negitive so maybe i should go buy a good cover up stick and just blot my scar out everyday so it is less noticable. though i have used a cover stick before and it leaves a mark on my shirt collar lol ....i definately do not want to look like a thug any more than what i allready do to be honest, i got tatts in early 80,s when it was fashionable but then ended up getting them all covered with better designs, i wear shirt so cover them up but on the neck ? im not so sure but anything is better than this horrible stupid looking scar, its dirty looking and very noticable, i hate it !!!

I love tattoos, but not keen on them on face, neck or hands. I think they do look a bit thuggish and you need a string vest and a rottweiller with you. How about just getting some foundation and covering it when you want to hide it?

yes, i have made up my mind...no tattoo on neck for me, thank god for A/B because i was seriously going to take the tatooists advise to get another tastefull one done. im now going to buy a cover stick and use that to hide the scarring and remainder of original tatt.

some of the blokes i have seen here, have them all over, nothing to do with intellect i am sure, it's just that some really do look threatening, add in nose rings, piercings and one bloke who had a jade bone shoved through both nostrils, you can picture what it looked like,

neck tattoos seem to be rising in popularity amongst females, especially just behind the ear.

If, as you say, you stupidly got a 1"x1" tattoo, then that implies you regret it, so why would you contemplate replacing the remaining situation with another tattoo ?

No, I neither like nor understand self mutilation. No matter where these ink marks are they are not tasteful, but are a primitive activity. I can just understand some guys wanting to look tough and getting them as a "see I don't care how I look, I'm that hard" image, but aside from that, they don't give a good impression.

What is even stranger and more inexplicable is I've met guys with loads of tattoos and they seem much nicer than the first impression they have cultivated, has given. No accounting for taste I suppose.

don't do rollies, but occasional drinkie, but tats, absolutely never. My gran had one, her mum went ballistic... this was at a time when they were almost unheard of outside of prossies and sailors..
