Mood Swings
9 Answers
Himself was very ill nearly 6 weeks ago (hospital job, major big operation, etc) and is making a 'remarkable recovery' (according to the GP). However, he is having massive mood swings - one day he might be almost manic (challenging boy#1 to see who can go highest on a swing - hasn't been on a swing since I can remember) and then there are days (like this weekend) where he can't summon up the effort to leave the house for some fresh aware. I know it's early days and I know he still doesn't feel completely well and that he has been extremely lucky but is this right? I am concerned as I was wondering if it is a long term affect of brain surgery (if it is, I am going to need some 'coping' mechanisms as it is hard going at the moment). Thanks for any insights and responses.

They warned me that I might have mood swings as a result of all the opiates I'd had to take. I was up and down massively when I first came out of hospital. Then I had another lot a year or so later, and the same thing occurred. It has calmed down now, but took a while, I'm afraid.
Good luck with it all.
Good luck with it all.
I think he will level off after a while sher. In the meantime you know that we are all thinking of you and wishing your OH well soon. It sounds like a dreadful operation and as such it will take time for him to get over it. Best of luck to all of your family. I am a great believer in the power of positive thinking.
