Constant Dizziness And Flying.
46 Answers
Hi all,
Last night whilst watching TV I suddenly felt very dizzy and nauseous. When I was in bed I found when I closed my eyes I felt that my eyeballs were rolling around in my head and the room was spinning and it wouldn't stop. It was the same when I woke this morning and it's still the same tonight. When I bend down or lie down it gets worse. I was with a friend today who suggested it may be labyrinthitis?
I am due to fly to Italy on Tuesday, will that be a problem if it is labyrinthitis? It's a bank holiday on Monday and I doubt my doc practice will be open so I'm not very sure what to do. I can get to Boots if anyone knows of any over-the-counter remedies.
Thanks everyone.

However try this, when you wake up, take it slow, don't make any sudden movements, sit on side of bed for a few minutes let things settle. Same when sitting in chair, it does help a bit. Its pretty rubbish i must admit, but mine comes and goes, sometime its stress that brings it on...
I'm amazed by that link, emmie. My panic attacks started the same time that i had labyrinthitis and it was diagnosed as postnatal depression/ anxiety (baby was 7months). That link shows how anxiety and labyrinthitis can cause each other. I knew i was scared of the dizziness, but never linked them to that extent. Learn something new every day!
