A friend's daughter was just given an eternity ring.
This prompted me to wonder if there is a particular way you should wear them.
I have all three rings, and I wear them in the order I was given them.
For example, engagement ring nearest the finger nail, wedding ring in the middle, then the eternity ring nearest my wrist.
From the wrist, she is wearing hers thus, wedding, engagement then eternity
How do you wear yours?
Mmm, now what category?

Somebody once tried telling me some stuff about your husband should buy you this kind of ring at X point, this other kind of ring when you had a son etc but it sounded like nonsense.
I don't wear jewellery in the house so I don't have anything I never take off - but I agree with ferlew but the other way round. The order you wear them is in the order you were given them - so engagement ring goes on first, then wedding ring, then eternity ring.
I noticed when I lived in the Midlands that a lot of girls were given an eternity ring pre-engagagement, which I thought was odd.

I have 3 really nice rings. A ruby and diamond engagement ring, a bevelled edge wedding ring and a 5 stone Victorian eternity ring. Because they were all nice rings I never liked to wear them together.
I used to wear them separately. My wedding ring was my everyday ring. My engagement ring for days off and going out and my eternity ring was my special bling one which was probably my favourite. I lived to wear them.
Unfortunately I was divorced 8 years ago and I have never worn the rings since which is a real shame as they are lovely. I cannot bring myself to wear them as for what they symbolised to me but they obviously did not have that effect on my ex.
I had my wedding ring made into a pendant of my children's initials. My daughter will and wants the other two rings.

I have been married for 42 years now and have never taken my wedding ring off. So I wear my wedding ring first to eternity ring, given to me for our 25 anniversary and engagement ring. I am dreading ever having to take my wedding ring off as it would have to be cut off now but hopefully I will not know anything about it when that time comes. Brenda
