Might be time to get your winter coat out!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2449841/UK-weather-Blizzards-frost-weekend-forecast-Britain-set-colder-St-Petersburg.html

Not much of a shocker really, given it's October, but it's been nice not having to wrap up or have any heating on later, especially after the cold of earlier in the year. It doesn't feel quite as late I the year as it is to me.

So, have you got your winter coat and woollies ready?

No. In fact I am still sitting outside!

Me too when out for coffee. I went out without my coat on yesterday, I put it on later on when sat out but was at the hospital for an appointment and always so warm in there so more of a difference when I came back out!
Nope, definately not. We have been pulling the curtains at night because its been getting dark, but leaving the back door open because it is so warm and muggy.
I've started wearing full length jeans and have put socks on in the evening but so far they are the only concessions to Autumn!

I see the Mail is using the Express's ruse....nothing useful to say, so big-up the weather.
Cut most of my grass yesterday and about to finish it off. Lovely and sunny here if a bit windy. Central heating not on yet but took a hottie to bed with me last night as it was a bit chilly when I came home from the theatre at midnight.
Maggie, was this a hottie you picked up in the bar during the interval?
I wish Eccles, I definitely wish!!

Haha, oh to have a hottie to take to bed to keep me warm :)

I've only had the heating on once briefly to make sure it's working as it tends to be temperamental if it hasn't been on for a while. Still way too warm.

Gingejbee, I thought it seemed like some of the worst weather is going to be in parts of Scotland but then what's new! Seems more like a return to the usual kind of weather for this year.

My grass is still growing at a mutant rate along with buses which were all but back.
I just bought a new pair of boots which I'm insisting on wearing cos I like them, still a bit warm though as the windows and back door are wide open.
botox, i need to get the zip replaced on my parka.
i know manchester is weird, but you have buses that grow at a mutant rate?

It was 17 degrees yesterday, out with out a jacket. Today it's 7 all wrapped up with winter jacket and boots.
Bit windy here in York, but still have no heating on, windows and kitchen door open.................
I am in a 2 cardie holding pattern at the moment, looked at the heating switch - but did not succumb.
I may have to hang up the Crocs and get some sensible boots for outdoor work :-(
