22 Answers
Hi abers medical team, i hope you can help me, i'm at my wits end. I have what can only be described as a cramp type pain in my back, its keeping me awake at night, and making sitting down unbearable. I am taking paracetamol twice a day, and 600 ibrofen at night. My g'friend says its a cold in the bones, or a chill in the back.
any advice would be gratefully accepted

If more than a few days I'd go to your doctor - it could be a muscular problem or disc or even a kidney infection. I also don't think a cold in the bones or chill in the back are real complaints, just euphemisms for something else.
first of all, the doctors are a waste of time imo, unless you are on deaths door. i'm sure its the same as uk, you have to make an appointment, and when you do see a doctor, he's usually writing a prescrition before hes even had a good look at you, its the same pills, ibrofen or paracetamol.
I have had this problem since sat morning, how can i describe it? I constantly feel restless, its like a cramp type pain in my mid to lower back, headaches also. legs feel like jelly. its almost like the flu with the cold symptoms.

Well, now we have got that out of the way, you should start to feel much better.
Symptoms started on Saturday and today is only Wednesday..........
It certainly does sound viral in nature and may well take a week to ten days to settle so you have another 5 days to "suffer."
Analgesics and ant-inflammatory drugs are the treatment of choice.
Be patient.
