How is OH?, on the Queen thread.
Only just read it.
He is still on the High Dependency ward Anne, hopes to be moved today.
Chest drain still bubbling away, so that stays another day.
Breathing is iffy, so still on oxygen and nebulisers.
Got some supersoft, yet supportive pillows yesterday, they should help make it more comfy for his back.
I have even remembered to leave one in the car for the journey home.
Will add to this thread when I get home from visiting this afternoon.

All tubes, drips attachments have been removed, except for the chest drain.
You can see he isn't getting in as much air as he would like, hardly surprising as part of the lung has gone.
Hopefully, time and exercise will improve this. Fingers crossed.

Dead chuffed to report Mr F is off the high dependency ward, and now in a 4 bed side ward. Chest drain still in situ, anyone know the average time they are in?
Made him a large thermos of sweet potato, leek and lentil soup. That went down a treat.
They will look again at the chest drain thingy tomorrow. :)

Good evening, Mr F is home, with a portable chest drain, as he still has air escaping. I have been instructed on it's care. The chest xray he had at 4pm shows the lung is quite well inflated, but they want the drain in for another week. The District Nurse will call in tomorrow or Friday, we have to report back to the ward next Wednesday for a further xray, and to see if the drain can come out.
He is struggling with breathing, as the other lung is practically useless. We are hoping this will improve with time.
He is going to need a lot of my attention at home, but I will still pop in. Thank you :)
