When i dieted recently the same thing happened to me. I'm 35 now so didn't consider menopausal reasons at all.
Everything went back to normal after 1-2 months and i'm back to being v regular again.
I would say not to give it any real concern as this could well make you anxious which would possibly alter things even more! Just wait until the next few and take it from there.
Of course, it COULD be what you suggest, but you'd be amazed at the number of earlies/lates/mid-cycle bleeds that can happen as one-offs and be completely normal! (I know cos i asked my Doc, btw!)
Anxiety of any kind can really mess things up - even when you don't really 'feel' anxious.
When we moved house i was dead excited and had everything planned to perfection... the move went brilliantly but, none-the-less, for about 4-5 months after i was irregular.
Hope things settle for you. Best wishes :0)
