One For Hans Or Whoever.....
8 Answers
Here's the situation.
BT customer and normal Hub, Asus PC 2 years old, nearly 3 miles of country line to the exchange - yes out in the sticks and last property on the line. Still get a good download at 9MB, occasionally more, because of Cornwall going onto the advanced network.
However, the PC wireless is cutting out every fifteen minutes or so, necessitating shutting the lid or troubleshoot, about every 10 needing a reboot as it locks up and then on the troubleshoot after the reboot I 'Apply fix' and the wireless is back in.
Now that suggests the network adapter, I know. However, here's the odd thing, when in Truro and on various networks from the business to coffee shops and the Cloud, it hardly ever happens. I would also add that the above can be erratic - midweek far better than the weekend. It also has a habit of dropping when I put the pc down on the desk and step away......
What is going on and any remedy, short of a new adapter - the trouble there that my local pc shop needs it for a week and I can't afford that time out, though they are thinking about starting a loaner service?

Take a look at the logs in the router and see if there is anything occuring at the same time as your oroblems.
To get into the hub
http:// bthomeh ub.home
Then go to the troubleshooting and then the event log. You will need your hub password - not the wireless password
