Does anyone else's pc have trouble with Answerbank site? My pc is normally fairly reliable, but when it comes on here it freeezes, I've had to recover the webpage 5 times already, and although my pop-up blocker is on, I still get really annoying adverts on here. I'm running IE, would it be better with Firefox? Thanks for any help.

I'm having trouble tonight - using an iPad.
AB has been working fine for me (with Firefox) for the past couple of hours. However that's probably because I've not the MALWARE(!!!!) on my computer that appears to have found it's way onto yours!!!

Download, install and run the free version of Malwarebytes:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/free/
Points to note:
1. When installing, take care to deselect the option to install free trial of the 'PRO' version ;
2. When running it, use the 'Quick scan' option ;
3. Don't be surprised when that 'quick' scan takes over half an hour to finish ;
4. When it does so, click the button to view the results, ensure that there's a tick alongside everything listed and then click the button to delete what's been found.

I have been the same - it has been a horrendous two day affair. With Buenchico 's advice I ran the antivirus mMalawarewirs - but according to the last two senticnces nothing has changed. Am also getting loads of unwanted advertiswements. I did change antivirus from MSE to AVG and as I said earlier today thought thias was my problem. Bye for now JJCon
I have bother with the Answerbank site too.....I have to get really technical and wiggle some wires to unfreeze it.....never happens anywhere else.
I dare say the Ed will get upset with me for this, because without the ads - no AB. But I put Adblock on my machine a while ago and, alongside Firefox, I have no hang up problems now.

We've had trouble with AB freezing for several weeks now. It just hangs. Other sites are fine, it's AB-specific - why would that be?
