Agree with SD - I always thought it was an extreme form of OCD.

Type Your Answer Here...what is ocd
obsessive compulsive disorder
There`s a programme on CBS Reality 5pm weekday that deals with this issue.
I saw my first ever house like that last night. I went for a walk along the Thames with a friend and there was a riverside house with stuff piled right up to the ceiling in the downstairs and upstairs rooms. The funny thing was though, the garden was immaculate.
ever heard of google bob? a wonderful thing.....
ocd - is obsessive compulsive cleaning 24 hours a day - my neighbour is one AhHHH - she never stops - I genuinely do not know what she is cleaning - it must be over and over and over again.

I wouldn't agree that its OCD. OCD is not obsessive cleaning either, its obsessing over seemingly insignificant things. Such as, a sufferer may not be able to leave the house unless they turn every light switch off and on 16 times. And if they are not able to do this they become very distressed.

It's compulsive hoarding. Sufferers develop emotional attachments to items and cannot bear to part with them. Even if its what you and I would consider is rubbish.
