The New Leader Of The Opposition Party/

It's the last week of my holiday, already 2.20pm and I just CANNOT get myself motivated to do anything today! Help! I am worried that I am going to waste what little precious time I have left before I have to return to FOUL work.
Any ideas how I can make the most of the rest of the week- or just get some energy from somewhere!!?

a) where are you?
b) what's this vile job?
c) what's the most fun thing you can remember doing?
answer these simple questions and i'll tell you what to do. I'm in the same situation every time i get time off - i drizzle it away with sleeps-in and cocktails and slobbing.
In fact, I'm on a reading week RIGHT NOW, and have yet to make anything of it apart from 42 hours agency work.
Tell me the whole story and we can throw each other Week-Off Tasks, Challenges and Goals.
or maybe we ought to just press Snooze one more time...
Trillipse!! Fantastic!
Well I teach. And I hate it. I shouldn't be teaching. I should be being creative full time! I want to make TV comedy. And lots of other things!! But teaching just drains you utterly, physically and emotionally, so any holiday you get you get up slobbing about and being a zombie. As it stands I go back to work next tuesday. O NO!
How about you?!
Well Scarlett,
you've already got me grinning.
oops! overkill on the text-mascara there.
What on earth are you doing teaching if you don't like it ?
Do the pupils know it? I assume they pick up on a thoroughly un-gruntled teacher...
Tell me more.
As for me, I spend my time on psyche wards, at the moment amongst a flock of disturbed ladies. 2/3 of my nursing training complete.
I find myself yearning for a little fulfillment, even though the current situ is far more satisfying than my previous life in advertising, dahn in laahnd'n with saatchis (evil soulsuckers).
not that i'm bitter...
Trillipse you are a joy to behold!
I am a bit worried that this may be deleted though, since it isn't a question as such, so I might have to put one in just to keep Ed quiet.
Good point- I am teaching cos when I graduated I needed a job! And there were no creative jobs. So I decided it would be better to go back to College (NO!NO!NO!) and do a PGCE than carry on earning 102 pw in the local art shop. And then even though I fought it, a pt job landed in my lap, and got me off the dole. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was teaching full-time. I was drunk, I didn't know what I was doing, it wasn't me etc. And we all need money. I can earn more teaching than doing shop work...
I intend that this is the last year that I will do this though- gonna pack up and head east- go back to College to make films!!
Your flock of disturbed ladies sound fabulous! Scriptworthy!!
Gonna make a film on Sunday- I can't wait. EEEeee! And then it's back to work.. Uuuuurrrrrggghh...
lord ha' mercy scarlett, you craven little beastie!
you gotta put some miles between those pupils and you.
fancy going joint on a creative venture exploring psychiatric incarceration? The first chapter of my "Antipsychotic" is well underway, and i've no doubt our various talents would be a match made in heaven.
Should this message be scrutinised for validity, it's clearly in response to your plea for ideas of how to not waste your week....
Well, bearing in mind this post is already quite old, and only had one response before you, I doubt very much whether anybody else is reading any of this stuff!!
Let's see...

Hmmm. No reply yet.
Let's see what happens. I don't mind posting mine anyway; I get enough spam-mail everyday anyway, and AOL usually seizes it and destroys it..
