Graduation Gown/Robe

Having missed my graduation last year, is it possible to hire/buy gowns/robes from somewhere so that I can have my picture taken in this? I hope someone can help. I contacted my uni but they said they are unsure about it.

Do what my brother did- superimpose your head on someone else's picture, then find out your robe's colours and doctor the photo! Et voil�

I'm pretty sure you can do this. You need to ring your university and find out what company usually supplies their robes and then contact them. I remember when I graduated there was an option to hire the robes for a week after the ceremony incase you wanted to get more photos done.

A colleague of mine did just that. Most UK Unis use Ede & Ravenscroft as the gown supplier (www.gownhire.co.uk).  Contact them and ask if they supply your Uni.  They'll want to know what degree you did so you have the appropriate coloured hood.
