What Type Of Hair Product Should I Use For The Marcus Mumford Look??

So, if I am going for Marcus's longer, messier look, how should I go about it? Any suggestions help, total beginner here. What kind of products should I use? Or, is this even do-able for me? I have thickish hair, and it's kinda wavy. Would I need to straighten or blow dry it to do this? And what is name for this type of cut?

Shaun take photos to hairdresser for cut. You will need a strong mousse type product on roots and a strong hot hairdryer. And just brush hair forward whilst drying I would have thought.

As for the hair...lots of styling mousse or gel on roots...tilt head forwards brush hair forwards and dry roots first in said direction then rest of hair...

You should listen to music older people hate.
And if you are middle-aged, that's not a great 'look'.
