If you're a couple, do you sleep separately for practical reasons? According to this article it's a growing trend. I've slept separately for a few years now & wouldn't go back to a shared bed (on a permanent basis) I answered a posters question not long ago (cuddle attack) ... the couple were having problems sleeping & I suggested sleeping apart, I think some find the idea weird. What do you think? Would you embarrassed to admit you did? http://yahoo.match.com/cp.aspx?cpp=/cppp/yahoo/article.html&;articleid=12529&TrackingID=526103&;BannerID=1364544

I'd love a spare room to sleep in away from himself! He always says if we the lottery we'll buy a big house and I can have my own room. I told him if we win the lottery, he can have his own house, and I'll have my own!

\\sqad, are you surprised at just how many on here are sleeping separately?\\

No I am not. it is far more sexually exciting to wander into his/her bedroom and slip between the sheets, indulge in passionate, erotic and innovative sex and then return to your own bed.
LOL Sqad.... It's not like that in out house
You sleep in an outhouse, mazie ?!
elina, I doubt you could find an honest male poster who wouldn't like to. So I wouldn't say I'm giving much away. ;o)

'it is far more sexually exciting to wander into his/her bedroom and slip between the sheets, indulge in passionate, erotic and innovative sex and then return to your own bed'

I sometimes get up for a wee.
I don't sleep separately but I do think it is quite civilized. I would like to sleep in my own room then I could watch tele when I can't sleep but my husband is not happy with the idea.
I'm fairly sure that separate bedrooms are one reason why our relationship has lasted as long as it has - 20 years in December. He snores, and is very hot in bed, and I sleep very badly, tossing and turning and sleeptalking, apparently.
Yes we sleep in separate rooms too, not because we don't like each other just because he likes the window wide open, even if it's sub-zero and I like to be cosy warm, got fed up with being woke up with a stone cold face in the early hours of every morning!!
My OH snores and is very restless and so sleeps on the sofa. It's lovely. I can read in bed and not jab him in the ribs every other minute.

I go to sleep on the Settee now and again, always wake up Cuddling a Dobie
as the smallest one is 6 Stone+ I've no idea how that happens, he said, Honest Your Honour!
;o)
