Didn't enjoy the Freddie concert tonight. It was very early Queen, very loud, strident and not easily recognisable tunes. I think they were still finding their feet then.
That was Queen at their early best - and, if you were a fan from the beginning, Caran, you would have recognised every tune instantly. The problem with Queens early live concerts was that Brian May did so much 'overlaying' with his guitars when recording their albums that he often found it extremely difficult to reproduce the sound on stage and they refused to use tape-recorders. That is why you will hear many different guitar solos from him the more you watch their concerts.
I didn't get into Queen until about 10 years later than this concert. Bear in mind I am in my seventies and only got into him through my daughter. She loved them and somehow infected me. Strange though she is no longer a fan.
