Maybe better asking this in the jobs and careers section. A few people I know with a degree are doing the same jobs as people without a degree and are wondering if all the debt was worth it.

Any you like if you're good enough at something... seems the market is reverting back to the 'experience required' mantra not the 'must have spent 3 years of life getting drunk and pretending to be an intellectual'.

I'm a software developer. Spent the 4 years I would have spent 'learning' at Uni getting experience and not getting into debt. It scares me the lack of intelligence 'better qualified' people are actually.

OBonio, I do agree with you.

I work with two other girls who do the same job as me, in a top firm, and I am on a better pay than them. They both have degrees in God knows what, whereas I have 4 years experience.

Yep totally agree with the last two postings, Don't have a degree and have done very well in IT, my husband doesn't have a degree either and he has done even better!

Whoops sorry Anna, I didn't specify what part of IT we are in, Husband is a project manager for a Global Investment Bank in the City and I'm currently contracting for another Investment Bank in the City.
