Another Question From The Heart...!

How did you and your OH get it together? Who made the first move? Did you plant a seed first, leap on him at a party, or wait for years and years in vain hope? And what is the best way to let someone know you like them, without embarrassment or losing a friendship- if there is one?!

You are always taking a risk, if it results in a lost friendship, then there was something wrong with the friendship to start with. Just make it known you are interested, if you are. Can only say "yes" or "no".

We've known each other since were very young. We've always been friends, went to school together, mutual friends etdc. When I split with my ex we started spending more and more time together. A mutual friend (my cousin) asked me if I was aware that he was in love with me, I wasn't, so I asked him if she was right. He said yes...
And that was the start...
I didn't look at him 'like that' because he was my mate...but it didn't take me long to realise that he has all the traits I admire in other people. It was just a matter of getting over the fact of doing rudies with my friend. It didn't take long. I think we're as happy now as day one.
Oh...the first move was kind of both of us.

I started writing to a soldier after I had seen an article in the Sun for people to write and send cards to the troops who would be away from home over Christmas. One of the soldiers wrote back and we sent letters to each other for a few weeks and then he came back to UK for 10 days and we met up and got on really well. To cut a long story short we married that year and have been together for nearly 18 years!
I'd been dumped (had my heart broken actually) and used to go and chat to the guy who sat next to him in his office about my woes and he (my OH) started earwigging. He then began to e-mail me and that became a 5 times a day habit. That was the seed! I'd known him for 10 years and thought he was weird and wasn't in the slightest interested originally. All that was 15 years ago.
