Help! Does Anyone Know Which Is Better Between The Philips Aquatouch At890/20 And The Philips Rq1195/17 Series Electric Shavers.
3 Answers
I want to buy my partner an electric shaver for Christmas. He has never used one before but suffers from very bad sensitive skin and rash when wet shaving with a normal razor. He is in the army so has to shave on a daily basis. I was wondering if any guys out there know which one of these shavers would be best for him. Here's a couple links to the models...
Thanks in advance

(I've reported the fact that AB's server refuses to include two Amazon links in a single post several times - but nothing ever gets done about it!)
I note that both those models have hundreds of reviews from people who've purchased the products, so it might well be worth looking at them.
However, as I see it, the essential difference is that the Rq1195/17 has a stubble trimmer, which is a 'must' for anyone who wants 'designer stubble' (although I'm unsure as to whether army regulations permit it anyway), whereas the trimmer on the At890/20 is designed to trim sideburns and moustaches. Otherwise there's probably not a great deal of difference.

Unless he wants the stubble trimmer for the designer beard (unlikely for the army) I would go for the AT890/20.
My son has it and I have a similar one. My son does the wet shave method, which I don't get on with. They work well dry aswell.
If he suffers sensitive skin he might struggle, but tell him to use light pressure even if it takes a bit longer.
