Nightmarish Toothache Thinking Of Taking 2 Cocodamol

I have been taking cocodamol 30/500 1 every so often over the last few days as I am in terrible pain with toothache despite being on antibiotics for an abscess but 1 is not really helping and I want to take 2 problem is 1 makes me feel a bit weird sort of euphoric and light headed so I don't know how 2 will make me feel. Anyone on this drug for pain

Goodie, Aspro Clears are good for abscess pain. I have had some terrible abcess pain with teeth over the years so I really sympathsise.

I know. Not everybody can take Asprin, but if you can try Aspro Clears, they do help.

gordie: I used to be one 30/500 co-codamol. If you're in that much pain then I'd personally take another - anything to get shut/numb the pain surely? They can make you feel sickly though so I'd suggest trying to eat something (I know this probably isn't going to be easy given the fact you have a lot of pain around your mouth/gums) just to make sure you don't vomit or feel nauseous.

2 will do you no harm, it is a normal dose. Might make you feel a bit light-headed if you are not used to them, but nothing to worry about. Of far more concern is that the antibiotics have not relieved the pain after 48 hours.

Good point from BaV there; if the antibiotics aren't showing any positive effect after 48 hours I'd suggest making a visit to either your GP or Dentist. I've never had any serious issues with my gnashers so haven't had to seek advice from either.

Agree with everyone above - 2 will be fine - but get comfy first in case you feel woozy and see about getting different antibiotics if they don't kick in soon.

Methyl , I have every sympathy with Gordie's level of pain having suffered dental abscesses 3 times last year - was even at the dentist this morning for treatment and am still tender.



But Ambulances are for Accidents and Emergencies.
