...to my 95yr old mother who died on Saturday, I decided to cook my pancakes last night in lard... They were delicious. She was from that age group that rendered everything down to a mush and olive oil was something you put in your ears:)
I'm sorry for yor loss Melv. My dear old Dad used to eat doorstep (white breadof course) sandwiches plastered in beef dripping covered in salt, for added goodness!
Thanks ummm. I'm busy organising the funeral, clearing the house etc. She was profoundly deaf and her eyesight was failing and found it very difficult to walk. In a way it was a blessing, as her quality of life was poor. I'll still miss her though:-(
My condolences melv. I hope you will remember her fondly for years to come, it's always a sad time xx but hopefully going through some of her things will bring an unexpected smile and a nice memory to mind.
