Night Sweats
6 Answers
In January I had a dose of "That Virus" that a lot of people had. It was horrible and seemed to last for weeks. At the same time I had depressions and anxiety attacks and was given "Citalopram" (which i had about 5 years ago for the same symptoms ) and they seem to do the trick.
However , whilst I am over the Flu and the depressions are in check, for the past 6 weeks I have been getting fairly bad night sweats (which i didn't have the last time I took Citalopram )The doctor said quite emphatically that the Citalopram will be causing the sweats! So it's catch 22 now and i don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions please. Cheers Chris

Keep hassling your GP to prescribe an alternative antidepressant that might not have the same side effect!
BTW: He appears to be right. Quote: "antidepressants and some other psychiatric drugs can sometimes cause night sweats as a side effect"
