Dark Front Tooth

One of front teeth has started to go very dark. The dentist said it has 'died'. It doesn't hurt, and I asked about a crown. The dentist said if I wanted a crown it would have to be private as it is 'cosmetic'
Does anyone know of something like a tippex pen that would whiten it only for a day? It is my son's wedding soon and I am very conscious of it.

It is cosmetic. So you'll have to pay for a crown or maybe a veneer
. Once a tooth has 'died' you can't bleach it back to white. Did you have an abscess? That's the usual cause of a tooth turning black. Especially if you had to have the nerve removed.
