Middle Aged Pimples

I have recently acquired a sporadic collection of pimples around my chin and top lip.

They don't develop into a squeezable zit, they just form a light crusty cap and fade before being replaced by another elsewhere.

They are not unsightly or particularly obvious just mildly annoying.

Any thoughts on what the cause may be?

I don't know the cause, Eccles. I just know that every time I get a spot I say, 'I'm too old to get spots!'
Scurvy? :-)
Menopause or peri menopause (sorry)

237sj, I'm not sure where I am on the menopause scale as I haven't had a period for well over a year despite being mid 40s.

I think they class menopause as when you haven`t had a period for 12 months.
A blood test would help, Eccles.

That's what I thought too.

So I've just got old lady pimples :-(

To test for what Tilly?
Blood tests re the menopause are not that conclusive. They test the follicale stimulating hormone but the results can`t really tell you that much. Better to go with the not having a period for 12 months guage.
