Are identical twins genetically 100% identical, or do they share nearly but not completely all their genes, which could be caused by mutations occuring before birth?

Yes, they are what you might call natural clones.

Eddie 51 is right

However, once the egg has divided into two it is not impossible for a mutation to occur in a cell which is then propagated and would cause some of the cells not to be identical.

trouble is that mutation rates are around 10 -5

in which case you would expect this effect to occur and be mnportant around once every ten thousand pair of identical twins.....

well i think they have some vert very differences like one does have a mole and the other doesn't.. and don't they sound different all the time??
