Overheard Conversations Can Be Fun.......

I inherited a two foot wide gravel path along the front of my house which I have finally changed....

I shifted and bagged the gravel....dug....sanded....leveled....and was on my knees laying the last paving stone when two young women sauntered by walking their dog....

The conversation I heard went.....

So what did you do?

We sat her down with the family on Sunday and said....Mum...you're getting on now...you can't keep doing things yourself.
Why don't we all look at some sort of sheltered accommodation for you...A little bungalow with a warden maybe....You could take it easy and we wouldn't worry.....

That seems a good idea.....How old is your Mum now?

Well, she's sixty five.

My last lovely doctor (now retired) - he and his wife adopted a Chinese little boy maybe 15 years ago. His (Drs) mother was sitting in a local cafe and overheard two wee women saying you know Dr X - he had an affair with a Chinese woman and now he he is rearing the wee son. Isn't unbelievable.

They overheard one of the ladies say....

I love baking scones for these events.....it leaves your nails so lovely and clean afterwards......☺

I once overheard the tail-end of a conversation between two young women. One said to the other "I told him to take it out straight away, and if he ever put it in there again, I'd chop it off". Perhaps it's just my dirty mind, but I really wish I knew what they were talking about.
