My friend is suffering with these symptoms: Back in mid June her glands got very swollen over night. It was really painful. Then that went away, she never fully recovered from that. These past 3 weeks have been really hard for her. She can't get out of bed most days. She barely gets any sleep. She's always running a fever. Her blood pressure is really low. She has no appetite and is getting dehydrated. The back of her head hurts so bad as well. She says she feels like someone is squeezing her brain as hard as they can. Any thoughts on what it might be? She is getting a blood test this week.

Did she ever go to the doctor about it before now? How do you know she is dehydrated?

I don't know I'm afraid, this is just what she has told me.
sorry but for me not enough info then.
You can tell when you're dehydrated. First because of the colour of your wee.
Doesn't sound very good ...does it?

I think that the blood test will give her the answer.

is she young? any chance it could be glandular fever?
^^^^^^..........;-)
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? (used to be called post viral stress)
You dont need to be young to have glandular fever. I had it last year and I`m the wrong side of 50. The symptoms do sound familiar. A course of tablets and plenty of rest sorted me out.
