As i am on a blood thinner rivoroxaban similar to warfarin it went on for a while I had a friend who was dropping a book off I wanted to borrow just came by as I was trying to stem the blood with a soaked hanky she took me inside and got out of her handbag 2 tampaxs and told me to stick up my nose i told her no way but she said this would help well i cant believe it 5 minutes later it stopped. But she took a photo of me and is going to put it on facebook lol i didnt think tampaxes stopped nosebleeds !!

I had gone to the bank to write a cheque and pay a bill; and some lady must have emptied her purse on the counter with the slips and left her tampon behind. Well I didn't know, I thought it was the bank's pen, it had a lead and everything. Took me three bottles of ink to write that cheque !

The following is absolutely true, as told to me by a work colleague many years ago.
He attended a mixed secondary school and during one lesson a girl raised her hand – she was a bit teary and was complaining of a headache. The female teacher was smart enough to realise that the girl was probably experiencing her first period, so discreetly gave her a tampon and sent her off to the washroom.
The girl came back into the class with the tampon cellotaped to her forehead as she thought it was to relieve her headache.

useless information, Jim Ratcliffe, chairman and founder of Ineos used to be Courtauld's product manager for tampons - his estate car used to be full of the stuff.....the female usage is just the tip of the market, the consumer end, as it's used in all sorts of industrial products, anything that needs mopping up.....
