Sqad, having to answer questions about digoxin, assuming digoxin is prescribed and a dose not being administered, then what would be the cut off value ... I think that's what it means.

Worked out what it meant, cut off values, if heart rate is below 50-60 or above 100 beats per minute then digoxin shouldn't be given.

Ah!...I would agree with that statement, but I would go further.......Digoxin should not be given AT ALL as we have a whole new range of drugs which affect the heart. Digoxin should only be given in certain cases of irregular heart beats.

Traci.....further thoughts on your OP.

Digoxin may cause severe sinus bradycardia or sinoatrial block particularly in patients with pre-existing sinus node disease and may cause advanced or complete heart block in patients with pre-existing incomplete AV block. Consider insertion of a pacemaker before treatment with digoxin.

I cannot think of any "cut off values" and have never seen any such values.
