This morning 5am I woke up struggling to swallow and felt like I had a blocked throat, had a look in the mirror and my uvula was twice it's normal size and swollen tonsil, but it was my uvula that concerned me.
I know what tonsillitis is as I have had that before. So, through panc and fear of my uvula stopping me breathing I fled to A and E to be checked over and told it was probably just vial tonsillitis that caused it and that yes my left tonsil was massive. So cam home feeling stupid.
Have managed to ear and drink a little soft stuff, but my uvula (which seemed to have gone down in swelling) seems to be getting bigger again, and that makes me unhappy!
I can cope with tonsillitis but why is my uvula playing about and is it serious, can it be serious and what should I do?

No big deal, this is a common occurrence and the uvula can swell quite alarmingly, but won't block your airway and will settle.
The advice that has been given is good advice and tomorrow morning should be an improved state of affairs.
