My hair is looking really dull lately. Can you recommend a product which will leave it really shiny and glossy?

i love VO5 shampoo called 'shiny smooth' and lee stafford shine spray, both you can get from boots etc.
It may be that you have a build up of product. Get a shampoo which will take any nasties out. Also you could try a semi-permanent colour. That will give your hair the boost it needs!

Thanks. I actually coloured it the other week and it was in lovely condition then. I use build up removal shampoo at least twice a month, but also straighten my hair every so often, which I guess isn't helping. I suppose I'm really looking for a product I could maybe use on a daily basis? I'll look out for that Lee Stafford spray though.
i use john freida's frizz eaze.  Pantene is quite good too.  For a nice in depth conditioner, use olive oil - soak your hair in it then put a plastic bag over your head for at least an hour.
Ask you granny! She'd probably recommend any shampoo with beer in it - yes, they still make them and it works!

Massage Olive Oil in to your hair, leave for 10 minutes, and wash out thoroughly with normal shampoo. It is excellent for getting stains out, for example nicotene. I put some Olive Oil in my hair and then combed it through.. the oil came up grey on the comb!
shellac
Try sleeping on a satin pillow or with your hair wrapped in a satin scarf.
good old head and shoulders I say xx
If your hair is dark, try using a tablespoon of vinegar in a jug of water for the final rinse. Lemon juice if your hair is fair/blonde. Not sure how well it works on died or coloured hair though. (and no, you won't smell like a chip shop!)
Although all the high street brands that have seen suggested are ok and do leave your ahir looking shinny, this is only because they leave a silicone based product on the hair which reflects the light and gives the appearance of shinny hair! If you want a really good product which will leave your hair healthy and shinny, try a product called 'Self absorbed' or 'Moisture Maniac' both by Tigi, salons products and both excellent!
Also the tigi range do a great shampoo which is designed for product build up one is called sexed up and the other I cant remember the name of, but im sure they will be able to advise you of the one I mean, is really good, foams up well, and last for ages! Also they sell some good heat protecting products, helps when you strait=ghten or blow dry your hair often! I use all these products as I have naturally curley hair and like to straighten it, works a treat!

Hiya

Mine was looking dull too after too much straightening.  My hairdresser recommended GHD Dead Sea Mud shampoo and conditioner, and GHD angel tears protein drops.  She also recommended a shine serum but I cant remember the brand.  Anyway I bought the lot and my hair has never been shinier.  and thats without the straighteners!
