just at the edges. I want to say corners, but that doesn't make sense really. I've looked online, but the general advise is to moisturise and wear gloves, which of course I do.
Anyone else suffered with these? I have a really deep one on my right index finger which is causing me the most pain at the moment.
Thanks

Paint on this till healed, stings initially. Wear rubber gloves to keep hands dry. http://m.boots.com/h5/cat_hub?unCountry=uk&path=/en/Germolene-New-Skin-20ml-1-bottle_862956/

I use a product called 'Snowfire'. It a product that has been around for years. It is like a solid moisturiser in a stick. Fab stuff!
We used to use that for chillblains Pringles.
I wouldn’t put snowfire on skin cracks!
when i get these i use germoline and a plaster and they heal up in no time.i still have some of the original pink germoline and it never fails.

Thanks for all suggestions! Just popped on here before I leave for town. Am going to see if Boots have any New Skin, Tambo.
Got quite excited when I read Pringles' suggestion of Snowfire, cos I knew I had some, but am glad I saw Woof's post!
Aaw, Queen....pink Germolene, how I miss it! I swear this newfangled white stuff isn't half as good.
Shall post update later ;)

Pringles may be correct Bathsheba. It looks as if they recommend it for chilblains and chapped or dry skin.

chapped fine, split, I don’t think so. I have it and use it in my feet.

Well I did it! Didn't sting much, but I think was because it wasn't an open wound like it was yesterday because I'd kept it dry + given it loads of attention!
Many thanks to everyone, you've all been great, with particular thanks to tambo for recommendation, and to Tilly for caring ;)

Tilly's just jogged my memory, I only needed to paint on the Germolene New Skin the one time on my cracked finger, then forgot all about it. No more pain, and the crack magically closed up! Highly recommend it, and many thanks to Tambo for mentioning it!
