My daughter has discovered that her 11yr old son is making himself sick, not a lot but every now and again. She is at a loss to know what to do, he appears happy plays a lot of sport and is not overweight. He is the middle child of five with two older brothers 12 & 15 and two sisters 1 & 3. My daughter has been divorced 6 yrs but has a long term partner who loves the boys to bits and his job enables them to have a very good standard of living. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Call the GP.

My son had issues. I spoke to the GP on the phone and he booked him into counselling within the week without even seeing him.

Three sessions of counselling and I had a different child.

It worked wonders.
Unusual in males, but can and does occur.
If your daughter has any cogent evidence that he is making himself vomit, then a GP consultation would be essential.
