Ear Trouble

All of a sudden last night I got this sort of buzzing whooshing in my left ear - I still have it now, anyone any ideas it's driving me mad, I have no pain just echoy and very strange and a little deaf. Please help anyone.

Bar far, the commonest cause is wax or something similar, but occasionally the nerve is damaged either by blood clot or virus infection and the only hope of resolution is by early diagnosis.
Unfortunately, the training of doctors in ENT in the UK is appalling and sudden deafness is not taken seriously.......not only in the UK.
