An Algerian-born father, separated from the English wife he married in a Muslim ceremony, has failed in his High Court bid to have his two young sons circumcised in accordance with his strict Muslim faith. The judge said that choice should be left until children are old enough to decide for themselves.

I always thought it strange that religious people believe they are made in their gods image and then decided it wasn't perfect and snipped a piece off.

I don't think so. Here there is a conflict between parents. When parents are in agreement no problem arises.

It was used to be thought that there was less penile cancer in men who were circumsised. Now scientists have changed their minds through years of study. Also in the middle- east countries and such like, where the climate is hot and sandy, it was said the sand can make things uncomfortable!....

It has been hotly debated for a large part of my life, so not a new topic really.

HC and that's good as you were able to make your own decision.

Islay, it isn't difficult to educate a boy into how to clean all areas.
