I would imagine that 180mg should be spread out over quite a few hours but it might not hurt you as a one-off. I wouldn`t make a habit of it though. Sqad will probably know more about it

The LD50 for Codeine phosphate is 800mg for an average weighed, non-tolerant, adult. The lowest reported lethal dose is 12mg/kg.

Lordy phleb the pain must be bad to persuade you to take Codeine. It took me 6 months to titrate myself off the stuff, after 6 months on it, after major surgical procedures. What pp says about constipation is absolutely true. I kept the prune industry in pension funds for 12 months and dread the thought of ever having to take it again. Morphine made me violently nauseous.

When I'm on the Codeine I always take Senna at the same time.

It is upper back pain. Unbearable. Cannot breath with it. Im glad i wont die then ;-). I feel crap tho. My speech went funny and i lost my voice for a bit. Very shaky and nauseas, now laid in bed, dozing off. Thanks guys xx

I have been taking 240mg, sometimes 300mg a day for years, plus Paracetamol, and have rarely had constipation, but admit I do feel a little agitated if I am late in taking them.

No, a bit high but shouldn't pose a problem.
Can't you alternate it with Ibuprofen 600mgms in one go?

I took 60mg with 2 paracetomol night before last. Didnt even touch the pain. Then i thought i shud just take a few extra codeine, its took away the pain, but i got itchy everywhere and felt sick. I started feeling better later on. i will alternate tonight if pain persists X
