What A Dope!

I went to the garage to get some screen wash. Got back to the car prepared to refill the reservoir. I have never had any cause to open the bonnet of this particular car.
Sat in the driver's seat and spent a good ten minutes looking for some kind of bonnet release catch. I couldn't look in the handbook as I didn't have my glasses with me. I waited for a man to come onto the forecourt, only women arrived. Two tried to help but they couldn't find it either.
I gave up in the end and drove home. I still don't know where it is.

That link works fine for me!
The question (from 6 years ago) reads as follows:
" How do you open the bonnet on a 2011 vauxhall meriva?
User manual is missing as it's a hire car. No obvious lever to pull or button to press. Please note it is the latest model which seems to differ to the 09/10 model"
Best Answer was given to this:
"The release lever is under the glovebox on the passenger side. It's hard to see so you need to get under there to see it as its the same colour plastic as the dashboard"

PS: It could have been worse. I've known people spend ages trying to find the bonnet release lever on those Ford cars and vans which simply don't have one! (You need to rotate the badge on the bonnet, insert the car's ignition key into the lock which will then be revealed, turn it one way and then the other).
