What is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you, or that you've done for someone else?

On a Valentines my wife, Ann, received in this order,
A card with a poem in it and signed because you love poetry, then an hour later,
A bouquet signed because you love flowers, another hour,
A bottle of champagne because you love wine, another hour,
A bracelet because you love jewelry , another hour,
Then I appear with a sign because "I hope you love me"
This was all done at her work with the discreet permission of her boss.

There was a discussion on one of my local FB pages about perfumes from the past and how they brought back memories. I mentioned that Coty L'Aimant reminded me of my mum who wore it all the time (she died in 1966). Met up with a good FB friend in December for lunch and he brought me a bottle of said perfume - to remind me of my mum he said.

Sorry donny48 but that sounds a bit desperate for my tastes. My OH sometimes brings me flowers after work, they are all 'reduced' which I know as he leaves the price on, that's romantic enough for me, thinking about me not because its a certain day and he feels he has to.

OH has paid for our holiday to Reykjavik, Boston & Martha's Vineyard and didn't want any money towards it.

He's also bought me a hot air balloon ride which has been on my bucket list since the year dot.

When we renewed our wedding vows, hubby bought me a new ring, but to keep me off the scent, he gave it to his friend to hold onto and them bought a cheap tatty ring costing $10 honestly it was horrid! He gave it to me on the day of the ceremony and I had to pretend to love it - it is something that his mother would have worn!! He then took the ring off of me so it could be used at the ceremony, then at the correct time during the ceremony he pulled out he most amazing ring. It was very romantic.

My OH does buy me flowers but when he buys me flowers he also buys his mum flowers :-)

I ended a relationship with a boyfriend......he paid for a singer friend from London to travel up with his guitar and they both sat under my window in the middle of the night serenading me with one of my favourite songs..... ☺

Sqad is being romantic towards his wife by going out with another lady for the evening and leaving his wife to enjoy her favourite programmes in peace :)

I feel bad now......can't think of a really romantic thing I've done for someone......will have to pull my socks up I think..... :-(

I do have the...Fifty Shades of Gravy... cookbook so I could invite Tonyav for a meal I suppose.........!

I can claim the most Unromantic marriage proposal. My husband (yes we did get married!) said, as we were driving through Monaco, "I think you're going to be my third mistake". (he had been married twice before)

Years ago I was going out with this guy and decided it wasn't working, and was plucking up the nerve to break up with him. He was working away and the morning he was due home I got myself all psyched up to tell him. He arrives home and I say look we need to talk. Ok he says but me first- I've got to show you something. Slight rolling of eyes but I say ok. To which he proceeded to whip off his T shirt and there right in the middle of his chest was a red heart shaped tattoo with my name in the middle!! I nearly died!
